Nancy Yvonne Armstead

Nancy Yvonne Armstead, born on March 27, 1941, to the late Bennie and Elizabeth Garnett in Middlesex, passed away on February 12, 2024. 

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Phillip Armstead; son, Jerry Wayne Armstead; sisters, Anna Carpenter and Jeanette Bristow and her brother Bennie (Buddy) Garnett.

She is survived by her daughter Jackie Ishkanian (Tony); grandchildren, Taylor, Kenneth, Duwane, and Brandon; sister Becky Kennedy; brother, Robert (Bobby) Garnett; daughter-in-law, Paula Armstead and numerous nieces and nephews. 

For over thirty years, Nancy dedicated her professional life as the Cafeteria Manager for St. Clare Walker Middle School. Her warm smile and kind heart made the cafeteria a welcoming place for all.  Nancy's membership in the Remlik Wesleyan Church was a testament to her deep faith and unwavering spirit.  Outside of work and church, Nancy found great joy in tending to her garden, meticulously cutting grass, and planting beautiful flowers. She loved nothing more than riding her golf cart with her beloved dog, Milo, by her side. Nancy also had a passion for playing rook, where she often engaged in friendly competition with family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on February 16, 2024, at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Remlik Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
