Naomi Dunlevy Smith, 90,
died January 8, 2012 at her home in Regent, VA., She was born on September 8, 1921 in Regent to Mary Thomas and William James Dunlevy. She graduated from Syringa High School and Richmond Business College. As a lifelong member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church, she was teacher of the Beginner Sunday School Class for over 20 years and Director of Vacation Bible School. She was office manager for H.L.S. TV. Living in Regent all of her life she was respected as a caregiver, assisting neighbors who were ill or in need of other support. She raised beautiful vegetable and flower gardens and fished extensively on the Rappahannock River. She was predeceased by a brother, William Grayson Dunlevy. She is survived by her twin sister and dearest friend, Ruth Dunlevy of Regent, daughter Patricia Smith of Raymond ME, son Harry L. Smith III of Snellville, GA and 3 grandchildren. The family extends deepest appreciation to the professionals of Riverside Hospice and to our loyal caregivers. A Service of Celebration for Naomi’s, life will be held on Wednesday, January 11, at 11am at Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Friends are invited to a reception at the church following the service.
