Nellie Ward

Nellie Greenwood Ward, age 79, of Urbanna died Saturday, July 28, 2012. She was the widow of John S. Greenwood, Everett A. Hudgins and Capt. Melvin Ward, Sr. Nellie was owner and operator of Greenwood Printing for over 25 years. She was a member of Urbanna United Methodist Church and was predeceased by a sister, Olivia W. Gilbert and a brother, Harold Lee Wilson. Survived by a daughter, Wanda G. Hollberg (Steven S.) and a son, John E. Greenwood (Nancy) both of Urbanna; sisters, Martha Dunlevy and Lena Wilson; a brother, Bryant Wilson; grandchildren, Crystle Williams (Nathan), Nicholas Greenwood, Ellery Hollberg and great grandchildren, Cole, Austin, Owen and Layla. A step-son, John Melvin Ward (Lou Ann); step-daughter, Linda Fears (Joe), three step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, July 30, 2012 in Urbanna United Methodist Church. Interment Middlesex Memorial Cemetery, Urbanna. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7pm Sunday, July 29th (tonight) at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda.
