Patty Morgan

Patty H. Morgan of Mathews, Virginia passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the age of 93.

Patty’s world revolved around her family. She had three beautiful sons that she adored. However, her favorite title for the past 50 years was “Gangie” to her grandchildren. All of them recall Patty as being an immense part of their childhoods. No matter what, Patty always made the time to be there for her grandchildren and spoil them in any way she could.

Throughout her life, Patty was an avid beachgoer. Her sons distinctly remember being in tow to go to the beach every day throughout their summers. As time went on, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren spent numerous days at Haven Beach with her as well. She also enjoyed horse races in the summer, and, in her earlier years, worked as a hairdresser where she made women laugh and feel beautiful.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Charles “Edgar” Hunt and Iola Matilda Hargrave; husband, Wilford “Clyde” Morgan; and son, Wendall “Dale” Morgan.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, W.C. and Valerie Morgan; son and daughter-in-law, Ashby and Marsha Morgan; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel following the visitation. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery.
