Pauline Callis

Pauline P. Callis left this life to go to her heavenly home on March 28, 2018. Pauline was born on October 24, 1928, to Benjamin Delmar Preston and Sarah Hudgins Preston in Mathews, Virginia. Pauline enjoyed her home and working with her flowers. She was blessed by her church family at Bethel Methodist Church.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Sarah Preston, her husband Jimmie Callis, the love of her life, and her son Jay Callis who she loved dearly, brother Albert Preston and sister Naomi Preston. Pauline is survived by her cousins caregivers Gary and Joan Roane and her dear friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Monday, April 2 at Bethel United Methodist Church, Onemo, VA. Visitation will be held before the service from 1 – 2 pm. Interment will follow in Pear Tree Cemetery, Onemo, VA.

A special thanks to the Gloucester House caregivers and staff who lovingly cared for her and the New Century Hospice. Memorial donations can be made to Bethel Methodist Church and the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, VA assisted the family with arrangements.
