Penelope Lawson

Penelope S. “Penny” Lawson, 70, of Locust Hill, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018.  She was the daughter of the late William Stanley and Dorcas Edmister Lawson and was raised in Middlesex County.  Penny was educated in King & Queen, King William and Fairfax County Schools and was also a graduate of Christopher Newport College and Southern Seminary.  She was also a member of Westville Baptist Church, Mathews. Penny was an active member of her Church and past president for a number of years with Hands Across Middlesex. Her special wish was for everyone to accept Jesus’ gift of salvation and find love and friendship in a local church family.  Fulfillment in life can only come in a relationship to Jesus. Penny is survived by her sister, Denny Jennings; a special friend, Richard Rogers and many cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at Penny’s residence on Saturday afternoon January 20, from 2:00 to 4:00. A memorial service will be held at Westville Baptist Church, Mathews, Va. on Sunday January 21, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Westville Baptist Church, P.O.
