Rev. James Tinney

The Reverend James Warren Tinney, 76, of Urbanna, passed away quietly Easter Sunday morning, April 5, 2015, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, Virginia.  He was the oldest son of the late Robert W. and Anna Belle Tinney, a retired Methodist minister and EMT who had worked extensively in his local communities throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Mr. Tinney is survived by his wife Anne; his daughter Lisa, son Christopher and family, step-son James and family, two grandchildren, sister, Dorothy T. Mizelle, and brother, Michael (Charlene), and four nephews and other family members.

The family will receive friends at 10am on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Urbanna UMC, followed by the service at 11am, with the Rev Seonyoung Kim officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2pm at Washington Memorial Park., Sandston.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Urbanna United Methodist Church or charity of your choice.  Arrangements by Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda.
