Richard L. Kehm, 88, of Tappahannock, Virginia passed at his home on November 9, 2020. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeannie Kehm; one daughter, Kelli Purvis (Kehm); one grandson, James Kehm; and six great grandchildren.
Born in York, Pennsylvania on January 3, 1932, Richard was the middle of 3 children. After graduating High School, Richard enlisted in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Korea. After his discharge from the military, Richard started working as a retail manager for department stores along the east coast and Midwest until he settled in Tapphannock, Virginia in 1985 where he managed several pharmacies until he “retired.”
At the time of his retirement, Richard opened up his used book store, Book’n, on Prince St. which he ran until he officially retired in 2014.
Richard loved his family, books, movies and the Dallas Cowboys.
Per his request, there will be no service.
Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Jeannie would like to give a special thank you to Riverside Hospice, especially Richard’s care assistant, Cathy Ross and his nurse, Tammy Veney. They made this difficult process easier and she is forever grateful for their help and care for Richard during this process.
