Robert Hudgins Jr.

Robert Harris Hudgins, Jr., 85, of Tappahannock, passed away on October 12, 2023. He was a strong Washington Redskins and Jeff Gordon fan. He also enjoyed his time as a karate instructor, fishing, piloting airplanes, riding his trike, and all things motorcycles. Robert was a passionate supporter of Tunnels to Towers.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Laverne Hudgins; parents, Maisey and Robert H. Hudgins Sr.; sisters, Ruth Temple Baylock (Robert) and Judith Ainsley.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert H. Hudgins III (Edie), Donna Powell (Gary), Melody Hemby (Tom); sisters, Rose Ellen Harper (Charles), Wanda Lee Laing (Neil); brother-in-law, Davis Ainsley; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Ephesus Baptist Church, Dunnsville, VA.
