Ronald Doyle Duff, age 77, of Hallieford, Virgina passed away at his home on Monday, July 14, 2014. He was active in Central United Methodist Church in many capacities, primarily as Chairman of the Administration Council & Chairman of the Board of Trustees. In Winchester, Virginia, he was President of the Toastmasters Club as well as being active in the Rotary Club. He served in the United States Marine Corps as 1st. Lieutenant, active duty, and later promoted to Captain in the Reserves. He also served as President of the Queens Creek Association.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy (Bootsy) Fulton Duff; son, Gregory Doyle Duff; 2 daughters, Suzanne Duff Thornton and Jane Duff Cooper; 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Taylor, Danielle, Emily, Bailey and Katherine.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church. A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 723, Mathews, Virginia 23109 or to Hands Across Mathews, P.O. Box 1303, Mathews, Virginia 23109.
