Rose Mae Brooks

Rose Mae Brooks, 90, of Tappahannock passed away peacefully on Monday, June 3, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Fairfax Balderson, Sr. and Cecil Brooks. Rose Mae was a member of Beale Memorial Baptist Church, the WMU and the Essex Traveling Card Ladies.

She is survived by her two children, Janet Seal (Buddy) of Tappahannock and Richard Fairfax Balderson, Jr. (Cyndi) of Garden City Beach, SC; one sister, Doris Morris and her brother, Gerald Wayne Hawkins both of Texas; three grandchildren, Brian Seal (Allison), Richard James Balderson (Joy) and Melissa Lea Donelson (Gus); three great-grandchildren, Emma & Colby Seal, River Balderson.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019 in the chapel of Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock. Interment will follow in Essex Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 5 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Beale Memorial Baptist Church, P O Box 816, Tappahannock, VA 22560.
