Ruth Barr

Ruth Virginia Barr (nee Uzzle), 89, of Urbanna, joined our heavenly father in her eternal journey on January 9, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph D. and Edna C. Uzzle, her husband, Earl W. Barr, and her six brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Jim Barr (Goldie), and her daughters, Gayle Stewart (Clyde) and Carolyn Hughes; her grandchildren, Naomi Barr, Crystal Barr, Danni Barr, Ginger May, David Hughes, Lauren Stewart, Shelley Stewart, seven great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. For many years, Ruth was very active in the Middlesex community and was presented the Pride of Middlesex award. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Memorial services will be held at the graveside in Christ Church Parish Cemetery, Christchurch, VA on Tuesday, January 14th, at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Saluda.
