Ruth Dunlevy, 98, died February 2, 2020 at her home in Regent, VA. She was born on September 8, 1921 in Regent to Mary Thomas and William James Dunlevy. She graduated from Syringa High School and Richmond Business College. Ruth’s first job was at CAPICO Printing Inc. Co. in Richmond, VA. Her boss was Lou McClellan; and together they served their clients for 60 years. She was respected by her coworkers and clients. When she retired, she joined her sister in Regent and grew beautiful vegetable and flower gardens and fished extensively on the Rappahannock River.
She was predeceased by her twin sister and best friend, Naomi Smith; and her brother, William Grayson Dunlevy. She is survived by her niece, Patricia Smith of Raymond, ME. The family extends deepest appreciation to the professionals of Riverside Hospice and to our loyal caregivers.
A Service of Celebration for Ruth’s life will be held on Thursday, February 6 at 11am at Harmony Grove Baptist Church, Topping where she was a lifelong member. Friends are invited to a reception at the church following the service.
