Ruth Wilder

Ruth O. Wilder, 97, died Friday August 11, 2017 at the Rappahannock Westminster Canterbury retirement community. She was the daughter of Estella Obermeyer and Carl Stockho and was pre-deceased by her husband Henry Page Wilder and her older sister Norma Schulz and is survived by her sons Carl and Rick, daughter-in-laws Lynn Orlowitz and Arlene Wilder, grandson Geoffrey Wilder, and many dear friends. Ruth was a registered nurse who served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and later in the public Health Service. She was one of the founders of Hands Across Middlesex community outreach service and a long-term member of the Clarksbury United Methodist Church in Deltaville. A memorial service will be held at Clarksbury United Methodist Church in Deltaville on Friday, August 25 at 1:00pm.
