S. Wilson Haynes, age 71, of Topping formerly of Roanoke, VA died Sunday, February 26, 2012. He retired in 1995 as a school teacher at
William Byrd Middle School in Vinton, VA. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech and a member of Salem United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 425, Mathews, VA 23109. Survived by his wife, Addie E. Haynes; a son, Rev. Dr. Kevin W. Haynes and his wife, Beth of Greenville, VA and a grandson, Luke W. Haynes. He was predeceased by a sister, Pamela Haynes Castle. Funeral services will be held Noon Wednesday, February 29, in Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. Entombment, Windsor Gardens Cemetery and Mausoleum, Dutton. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Wednesday. Memorial donations may be made to the Salem United Methodist Church building fund or to the Greenville United Methodist Church building fund, P.O. Box 250, Greenville, VA 24440.
