Sarah Ann Mundy

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Sarah Ann Mundy on March 23, 2025, who has gone to join her parents, Dorothy and Allen Mundy. Sarah graduated from St. Margaret’s School and Emery & Henry College. She had a long and successful career with George Washington University in the Athletic Department. She enjoyed the young athletes and attended many games with them. 

When Sarah retired, she returned to Tappahannock to take to take loving care of her mother until her death at 102. Sarah was an avid reader and was often seen sitting on her porch with a book in hand and waving to friends and passersby. She leaves behind many friends, her devoted caregivers, and her cousins, Betty Mundy Bigwood, and husband, Gerald, of Wilmington, MA, Dorothy Mundy Doumar, of Norfolk, VA, and Sara Dyke Dillinger of Georgia, who will miss her quiet and loving manner.
