Shirley Major

Shirley Taylor Major, age 91, of Saluda died Friday, July 19, 2013. She was the widow of A.U. “Dumplin” Major and a member of Saluda Baptist Church. Survived by her children; Brenda M. Hogge (Jimmy), Theresa M. Anderson (Brad) and Gene Major. Grandchildren; Chris Anderson (Kelly), Amy Hogge, Amanda Morgan, Major Williams (J.D.) and Elizabeth Major; two great grandsons, Mitchell Morgan and Josh Anderson; a brother, Dale Taylor (Beatrice) and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 27, 2013 in Saluda Baptist Church with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Saluda Baptist Church, PO Box 452, Saluda, VA 23149 or Hospice of Virginia, 1328 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock, VA 22560 or a charity of your choice.
