Sidney Dize

Sidney Franklin Dize, Jr., 73, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Riverside-Mathews Convalescent Center. He worked as a welder for the Newport News Shipbuilding for 42 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney F. Dize, Sr. and Elva Pierce Dize. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Harrow Dize; 3 aunts, Margie Snow, Frances Ward and Annie Ruth Collier; an uncle, John Robert Pierce and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 3:00 pm in Zoar Baptist Church, Deltaville, Virginia. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in Philippi Memorial Garden. Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Virginia is in charge of the arrangements.
