Standard Edward Payne III

Standard Edward “Stanley” Payne III, 72, of Mathews, Virginia passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023 surrounded by is family. He was a loving father and loved his home of Mathews. He was a licensed Land Surveyor and proudly operated his own business for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Standard, Jr. and Janice Payne.

Stanley is survived by the mother of his children, Brenda Payne; his two sons, Brent and Matthew Payne; his daughter, Brooke Peters; his brother, Tommy Payne; grandchildren, Jean Payne, Avelia Payne, Kimber Peters and Wyatt Peters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please send donations to either Meals on Wheels, c/o Nelda Gibbs, P.O.
