Thomas Landeck

August 31, 1938 — March 11, 2017

Thomas “Tommy” Francis Landeck Jr. 78, peacefully went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2017 at Riverside Walter Reed Rehabilitation Center in Gloucester, VA. He was born in Norfolk, VA, on August 31, 1938 to Thomas Francis and Virginia Karpa Landeck. Tommy grew up in Norfolk, VA and attended Granby High School. He was a state licensed Master Plumber with Local 540 and worked for numerous companies over the years doing mainly commercial buildings. He also owned his own business where he was known as “Ye Old Master Plumber”. He retired in the early 1980’s. Tommy married Sally on Feb. 9, 1980 in Newport News, VA and they were happily married for 37 years. He was previously married to his first wife Mary Ann for 21 years. Tommy was a past member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, flea markets, boating, the mountains and other activities involving his family. He loved country music and dancing in the honkytonks. Tommy was a loving member of All Saints Anglican Church in Saluda. Tommy is survived by his wife Sally of Jamaica, VA; sons, Gregg and Todd Landeck, of Richmond; daughters, Terrie Landeck of Virginia Beach, Kim Burke (Tommy) of Midlothian, and Jaimie Chandler (Tommy) of Poquoson; grandchildren, Meighan, Mary Beth, Stephanie, Amanda, Vincent and Tyler; great granddaughters Emma, Jadelyn and Burkely; sister Barbara Gaskell (Tom) of Windsor; brother Steve Landeck currently residing in Thailand an numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and scores of friends. He is also survived by his beloved dogs Beauregarde and Sissy Sioux and his cat Quasimodo. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and sister Linda. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date to be announced by the family. Tommy was cremated in the care of Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home in Saluda. Burial will be private. His family would like to thank the caring staff at Riverside Walter Reed Rehabilitation Center and his wonderful Jamaica community friends for all their kindness and support.
