Thomas Major

Thomas M. Major, age 81, of Stormont passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 12, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Roberta; son, Tommy (Carol); daughter, Terri (Wallace); grandchildren, Katlin, Kelly, Trey, and Abigail; sister, Marie Anton; brother, Robert Major (Carolyn); and beloved dog, Sandy. Tom was an avid outdoorsmen, sportsmen, gardener, and was a devoted sports fan of his children’s and grandchildren’s teams. Tom was the owner of Middlesex Body Shop founded in 1965. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 and served as the Middlesex Animal Control officer for several years. He was a member of Saluda Baptist Church and American Legion Post 82. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 15th. Visitation will precede the funeral starting at 9:30 am at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda.
