Thomas Slusher

Thomas D. Slusher, age 77, of Wake, a retiree of the U.S. Postal Service and a U.S. Army veteran went to his new home in heaven on Saturday, May 21, 2016. Survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Phyllis L. Slusher; children, Joseph D. Slusher (Charlene), Julie S. Whittaker (Joseph); a grandson, Trevor J. Slusher and a soon to be granddaughter, Janie Marie Whittaker; and his best three legged friend, Macho. Also surviving are his sisters, Lelia Coates, Betty Nester (Bob), Hazel Rutrough and a brother, Charles “Bud” Slusher (Betty) and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 25th in Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
