Vernon (Jim-Jim) Hudgins, Jr., age 96, of New Point, passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2013. He was a retired waterman and avid rabbit hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents,Vernon C. Hudgins, Sr. and Martha Gertrude Hudgins, brothers, William L., Elton M. and Dick Hudgins, sisters, June and Christine Hudgins, Hilda Snow, Catherine Lewis and Frances McPherson. He is survived by a sister, Lillian M. Hudgins of Moon, VA and many special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Private burial will follow on Friday in Friendship Cemetery, Susan. Memorial donations may be made to: Beulah United Methodist Church, c/o Harlene Pritchett, 1061 Lighthouse Road, Bavon, VA 23138.
