Our beloved mother, Victoria Matiani-Markov, met our Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 06, 2014, after losing her battle of cancer at the age of 73. Throughout her life, our mother was a successful business woman, owning four beauty salons and co-owning three restaurants, the latest one Angelos’ Colonial Pizza in Urbanna, Virginia. She was a compassionate woman who is survived by her husband of fifty-one years of marriage, Angelos Markov, and their first daughter Alexandra and husband James Rush, grandchildren Angelos and Anthony Vaziouracis, Anthony’s fiancée Brianne Meyerson, and great grandchild Colten Vaziouracis; second daughter Liberty and husband David Bushey, grandchildren Emilia Randler and Alexander Bushey; her third daughter Angelina and husband Eric Deagle, grandchildren Victoria and Zacharias Deagle. Our family will receive family and friends at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home in Saluda, Virginia, on Wednesday evening, September 10, 2014, between 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. The funeral service will be at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Newport News, Virginia, on Thursday, September 11, 2014, at 11 A.M. On a later date, our mother will be laid to rest in Greece.
