Vincent Inserra, 68, of Mathews County, Virginia passed away after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday evening, May 7, 2014. He left this world surrounded by the most important people in his life, his wife, three daughters, a granddaughter, and two "lucky" sons in law.
Vincent, affectionately known to his family as "Daddy" by his daughters and "Vince" to his community, was born to the late Vincent and Pia Inserra on May 5, 1946, in Medford, Massachusetts. He married his constant, loyal and dedicated best-friend and wife, Anna, in 1974. The two raised three daughters together in Winchester, Massachusetts, before relocating to Mathews, Virginia, with their children in 1992.
Vince's second home was his dealership, Christie Chevrolet-Oldsmobile. He was an automobile enthusiast, an "unschooled" comedian, and a great motivator of people. He always inspired people to live and dream beyond their potential. His love of life and undying, fighting spirit will resonate with his loved ones forever.
Vince is survived by his wife, Anna; three daughters; Pia (William) Simmons of Williamsburg, Virginia, Michelle (Brent) Lucas of Yorktown,Virginia, Melissa Inserra Clark of Williamsburg, Virginia; five grand daughters, Isabella and Alexandra Simmons, Juliana Lucas, and Olivia and Nadia Lucia Clark.
The family will receive friends at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Virginia on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Church of Francis de Sales in Mathews, Virginia with entombment to follow in Windsor Gardens Cemetery and Mausoleum, Dutton, Virginia.
