Virginia Owens

Virginia Estelle Owens, 81, of North, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Riverside-Mathews Convalescent Center. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and a graduate of Mathews High School. Virginia loved football, college basketball and watching Donnie and Dustin race cars. She previously worked at Frank’s Truck Stop, Andy’s BBQ and Mathews High School in the cafeteria.

She is survived by her son, Donnie Wayne Owens (Sandy); a grandson, Dustin Owens (Nikki); a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Kellum (Wesley); great-grandchildren, Dawson, Devin, and Robert Michael; two sisters, Susan Smith and Shirley Sadler (Ronnie); a brother, Sherwood Daniels (Lisa) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 6-8p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Cobbs Creek, Virginia followed by a reception in the church social hall.
