Virginia Bland Payne, age 79, of Urbanna, died Friday, February 1, 2013. She was the widow of Melvin L. Payne and a member of Urbanna United Methodist Church. Survived by her children, Carol P. Whitaker (James), Kay P. Burch (Bobby), James M. Payne (Cheryl), Edward F. Payne (Emma), seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Tuesday in Urbanna United Methodist Church. Interment will be in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery, Gloucester County. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8PM Monday at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be to Urbanna United Methodist Church, Youth Fund, PO Box 217, Urbanna, VA 23175.
