Wade Harrison Powell, 92, of Gwynn’s Island, Virginia passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, December 28, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Dot Powell; a daughter, Teresa Powell and a sister, Pat Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Ellen Powell; a daughter, Lynne Davenport (Joe); a grandson, Sean Powell and a brother, Grady Powell (Nancy).
A private funeral service will be held. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church, c/o Building Fund, P.O. Box 26, Gwynn, Virginia 23066, the Gwynn’s Island Civic League, P.O. Box 313, Gwynn, Virginia 23066 or to Cornerstone Fellowship Church, P.O. Box 126, Cobbs Creek, Virginia 23035.
