Wallace Temple Davis, 68, of Topping, passed away peacefully at his home on February 28, 2024. He was born on March 22, 1955 in Richmond, VA.
Wallace had a passion for selling farm equipment for Fleet Brother's INC, often becoming friends with his customers. His passion for sales expanded over the course of a 50-year career. Wallace's greatest joy in life was ensuring the happiness of others. He was a best friend, the best father to all of his girls, and a wonderful husband to his wife, Terri. He was a member of Lower United Methodist Church. He was also a little league coach, a mentor to many, and a volunteer fire fighter.
During Wallace's spare time, he was overjoyed in taking his family and friends out in his boat. He loved showing off the local landmarks and explaining the history. He took great pleasure in relaxing at home, eating seafood, and enjoying conversation with his loved ones. He loved riding on his tractor and cutting down trees. He was always up for a ride on his beloved gator!
Wallace is preceded in death by his parents Temple and Ann Davis and his daughter Jaren Tate Davis.
Wallace is survived by his wife, Terri Major Davis; Daughter, Jennifer Dale Davis (Ingrid Simono); Stepdaughters, Kelly Best (Stephen Best) and Abby Purcell (Noah Hamilton); Step grandson, Macon Best; Sister, Terry Rogers (Greg Rogers); Brother, Marshall Davis (Vicki Davis); Nieces, Marsha Jedlinski (John Jedlinski), Courtney Rogers (Peter Karcewski) and Megan Smith (Jamison Smith);Great-niece, Addison Smith; Great-nephews, Marshall Jedlinski and Gavin Smith; and Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Tommy Major (Carol Major).
A graveside funeral service will be held at Lower United Methodist Church at 2 PM on March 3, 2024. Reception to follow at the Piankatank River Golf Club.
