Wanda Carroll Davis
On March 21, 2013, Wanda Carroll Davis, age 87, died peacefully in her home in Yreka, CA. She was born in Alexandria, VA to William Douglas and Sybil C. Carroll, and lived there most of her life.
Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Stephen H. Davis , previously of Hallieford, VA, and two children, Stephanie Davis Butler and husband, Stanley, of Yreka, CA, and Stephen H. Davis, Jr. and wife, Jill, of Deltaville, VA. Grandchildren are Essie S. Hicks, Stephen Ashley Davis, Jonathan P. Davis, and Caroline S. Davis and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James D. Carroll and wife, Margaret of Alexandria, VA, and sister-in-laws Rosemary Powers and Sandra Graham.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Mathews, VA, where a Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Monday, April 1, 2013, where members of the family will greet friends between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 Noon. Private interment will be at Visitation Cemetery.
The deceased requested that no flowers be sent. Memorials may be made in the form of donation to the Memorial Gift Fund of the Church of Francis de Sales, 176 Lovers Lane, Mathews, VA 23109.
