Wayland A. Perkinson, 48, of Cobbs Creek, Virginia passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 at his home after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willie A. Perkinson and Lois Garrett Perkinson; maternal grandparents William H. and Countess Garrett.
He is survived by a sister, Tracy Thacker (Robbie); a brother, Craig Perkinson (Tamar); nieces, Pamela Sweitzer (John) and Amanda; a great nephew, Liam Sweitzer; a great niece, Nina Sweitzer; aunt, Barbara Felton and extended family and special friends.
We would like to express our thanks to Hospice of VA; Terri and Shannon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mathews Youth Baseball League or to your favorite charity.
Due to COVID-19, Wayland’s family will be holding a private burial ceremony. They will schedule as soon as possible another service in the future at which all of his loved ones and friends can honor and celebrate his life. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia is assisting the family with the arrangements.
