Wiinifred THomas

Winifred W. Thomas "Winnie", age 85, of Onemo, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013. She graduated from Elizabeth Buxton School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She practiced nursing across the state, following her husband, Rev. William Alan Thomas, on his many Methodist Charges. Winifred was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and the Mathews County Woman's Club.She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. William Alan Thomas, and a son, A. Gordon Thomas. She is survived by two sons, William L. Thomas and John R. Thomas, two daughters, Teresa Thomas and Jamie Naab, two sisters, Jean White and Audrey Wilson, and one brother, Richard Leon White, and a brother-in-law, Leonard Wilson. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home Chapel, Mathews. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. Burial will be private.
