William Preston Collier, 82, of Mobjack passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016. Bill was born to Birdie Mae and Moscoe H. Collier of Rome, Georgia. He attended the Apprentice School and retired from the Newport News Shipyard after 41 years.
Bill was predeceased by his parents; brother Richard Collier of Newport News, Va. son Gregory and daughter Angela, both of Mobjack.
He is survived by his wife Vera M. Collier; daughter and son-in-law Lisa C. and Kenny R. Howlett; granddaughter Brittany and her husband Aaron C. West; great-granddaughter Kensington K. West.; sister Annette Bowls; brother Van Collier and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was loved by all he knew and will be sorely missed by all of us.
A graveside funeral service was held on Monday, November 21st at Windsor Gardens Cemetery, Dutton Va. Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va. handled the arrangemnts.
