William Howard

William Thomas Howard, 72, of Jamaica, VA passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 and was the son of the late William Franklin and Frances Sutton Howard. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a true animal lover and a retired technician from N.A.S.A. Tommy was also a member of The Sons of Confederate Veterans and the North South Skirmish Association.

Survived by his sister, Susan H. Becknell; close friends, John and Joan Longest, Stuart Mahler, Karen Jenners and Richard Carroll.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Westview Cemetery, Kinston, N.C.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

He wanted to make sure that children who have cancer have every opportunity to grow up and be healthy.
