William Lawson

William A. “Bill” Lawson Sr., 91, of Saluda, widower of Dorothy J. Lawson, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018. Bill was also predeceased by his son, Larry and his siblings. He was a member of Westville Baptist Church, Mathews. Bill was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran and a retiree of the Newport News Shipyard. Survived by his daughter, Sherry Lawson Perok; sons, Terry Lawson and William A. Lawson Jr. (Bridgette); 7 grandchildren, Kimberly Laino, Stephen Perok, Jonathan Perok, Brittany Gutierrez, Larry Lawson Jr., Amy Marshall and Rachel Lawson; 13 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at noon, Monday, January 22 at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda where the family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. Interment will be in Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Topping. The family would like to thank Riverside Walter Reed Hospice for their care.
