William McCoy

William Thomas “Tommy” McCoy, age 76, of Wake, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church and was an Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dora Butler McCoy; one daughter, Donna M. Brown (Chuck) of Wake; one son, Phillip T. McCoy (Jodie) of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, Joshua and Amanda Brown and Ashley, Austin and Alyssa McCoy; one brother, Homer McCoy (Alice); one half-sister and three half-brothers, all of Kentucky. Funeral services will be held 2:30p.m., Friday, October 24th at Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Interment church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the HVFD, PO Box 205, Hartfield, Va., 23071 and the MVRS, PO Box 98, Deltaville, Va., 23043.
