Willie Foster

Willie Winfred Foster, 86, of Wake passed away peacefully at his home and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 17, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of River of Life Church, Topping where he served as an Elder, Deacon and numerous other capacities. He was predeceased by his parents, Loyd and Lucile Foster, brothers, Weldon, Delbert, Loyd and Elsworth, a sister, Margaret South and a great grandson, Cherub. Willie is survived by his wife, Nellie Foster; children, Faye Sutherlin (Tom), Terry Lawson-Roppolo (Edward), Mark Foster (Marilyn), Paul Foster (Sylvia), step-daughter, Jessie Ann Thrift (Bill); sisters, Jane Hogge and Alvine Brown (Charles), eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in Lower United Methodist Church, Hartfield. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, March 19th at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda.
